IFL has seen dramatic change

The Indoor Football League has undergone many changes since the Nebraska Danger opened play in the 2011 season.

The IFL consisted of 22 teams that year. Last year, that number was cut to 15.

Now the IFL is composed of nine teams. That may seem to some like a step back, but Danger general manager Mike McCoy said it's actually a big step forward.

"I'm ecstatic about the league," McCoy said. "We're playing teams now that are solid, they're proven operators, they've been successful in their markets. They know the game. We would go to games last year and there would be 500 people in the stands. They didn't know what they were doing sometimes in some of these places." ... MORE
