Piper-Jordan adds depth


Andre Piper-Jordan's journey to the Nebraska Danger is certainly different than any other player on the team.

Piper-Jordan graduated from high school in 2003. He played baseball and basketball at Everett Community College in Everett, Wash., then signed a baseball contract with the Oakland Athletics.

Piper-Jordan never played college football, but when his baseball career ended after a couple of seasons in minor leagues, he decided to give football a shot.

He went to a tryout for the local Indoor Football League team, the Kent Predators, and made the squad. The Predators eventually turned into the Everett Raptors.
