Danger roll Lawdawgs 58-0

New quarterback Dwight Dasher threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Corey Surrency on the first play from scrimmage Thursday night as the Nebraska Danger rolled to a 58-0 pre-season victory of the Nebraska Lawdawgs of the Alliance Football League.
Leading 7-0 after the first period, the Danger took control of the game in the second. Taking to the air, the Danger scored four touchdowns on passes from three different quarterbacks before halftime. The recipients were Kayne Farquharson and Chris Bell.
Farquharson hauled in 23 yard pass from Terry Mayo to give the Danger a 23-0 lead with 11:49 left before halftime. Bell, who scored first on a 34-yard pass just 30 seconds after Farquharson's score, gave the Danger a 44-0 halftime lead when he hauled in a 40-yard pass from Dasher at the end of the first half.
The Danger defense got in on the action in the second quarter with two interceptions and a fumble returned for a touchdown by linebacker Riley Nikkila.
For the day, the Danger offense finished with 216 yards through the air and another 56 on the ground. The quarterback trio of Dasher, Mayo and Tim Bailey combined to go 15-of-21 passing. The Danger defense recorded five interceptions, one fumble recovery, and five sacks, including one for a safety in the decisive second quarter. They allowed just 54 yards of total offense.
The Danger will kick off the regular season on March 4 at home against the Tri-City Fever.
