Danger players emphasize importance of reading at library


The Nebraska Danger football team helped the Grand Island Public Library kick off its Summer Reading Enrichment Club on Thursday.

Two of the players read "Go, Dog, Go!" by P.D. Eastman to about 100 children from Grand Island and surrounding towns in the first 10 minutes of the club's first meeting. They told the kids it's important to remain studious and be active by going outside, eating healthy foods and participating in summer activities, such as the library's summer reading programs.
