Danger look to rebound against Wolves

The Nebraska Danger will look to get back into the win column this Saturday against the Billings Wolves. The Danger are coming off their first back-to-back losses since the 2014 season. The Wichita Falls Nighthawks won a shoot-out in Grand Island last Friday night 64-55.
The Nighthawks entered the game with the top statistical offense in the IFL — leading the league in total yards per game, points per game, and passing yards per game. The Danger defense knew they were going to have to make some stops to help out the offense. That didn't happen, as the Nighthawks put points on the board on all but the final drive of the game.
"We made too many mental mistakes and did not play our style of football," Danger head coach Mike Davis said. "Our offense was able put up some points, but we had too many penalties to be able to keep up with an offense like theirs."
Nebraska outgained the Nighthawks 293-209 in total offense and controlled the time of possession 38:54-21:06, but the Danger were called on 16 penalties for 119 yards.
"We are making some changes this week on defense that really should help us out," Davis said. "There is still a lot of football left to be played this season. We'll get back to playing our style of football and will be just fine. We've just got to keep working every week."
The Billings Wolves will be a very different match-up for the Danger this Saturday. While the Nighthawks lead the IFL in numerous offensive statistics, the Wolves are last in the IFL in total yards per game and are only averaging 34.6 points per game, but boast one of the top defenses in the IFL. The Wolves lead the league by only allowing an average of 37.6 points per game and are second in the league in yards per game given up.
