The Nebraska Danger and Colorado Crush will meet up for a rematch as the Crush travel to Grand Island on Saturday, March 25, on Tackle Cancer Night. The Danger came home with the win three weeks ago with a 54-36 victory in Colorado. Kickoff for Saturday is scheduled for 7 pm at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.
Colorado will be looking to get into the win column this weekend for the first time. After starting the season with an overtime loss to the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles, the Crush followed up with the March 5 loss to the Danger before getting thumped by Arizona & Spokane in back-to-back weeks, 71-27, 70-37.
Last weekend was an off week for the Danger, so head coach Hurtis Chinn says the team is rested and has become re-energized after teaching over 200 kids at the 2017 Danger Kids Camp.
"Our bye week came at a great time for us," said Chinn. "We've played a quarter of our season, so it was perfect to take an extra week to heal and take a step back to see where we are at and where we need to improve."
"The Kids Camp really pumped up the guys. Seeing them all work together to teach all the kids the fundamentals really brought them closer as a team," Chinn said. "All those little kids look up to these big football players as role models, so it was good to take time to remind everybody that they are playing for more than just themselves."
Kickoff is set for 7 pm on Saturday night at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, with Tackle Cancer Night for the GRACE Foundation as the feature. Doors open at 6:00 with pre-game activities beginning at 6:30.
Tickets for Saturday night are available at area Pump & Pantry stores, the Heartland Events Center Box Office, or via Ticketmaster. The game will be broadcast live on 2DayFM 103.1, or streamed live at www.2dayfm1031.com with live video available at IFLLive.TV.
Following the game, an autograph party with Players and Coaches will take place on the Danger turf.
